FOOD PANTRY FAQ

  • Q: How do I qualify for the food pantry?

A: If you meet the federal poverty guidelines, you automatically qualify for our services. Examples of current poverty guidelines include but are not limited to fuel assistance, WIC, Food Stamps, Social Security / Disability, Subsidized housing,  TANF, CSFP, APTD, and unemployment.

  • Q: What do I need to bring on my first visit to the food pantry?

A: Anyone 18 years of age and older is required to show ID and  current proof of income. Proof of income includes any of the services listed above or your most recent tax return. You will also fill out our application during your first visit. You are welcome to print out our application and bring it in with you on your first visit. You can find our application on the Get Food tab on this website.

  • Q: When is the pantry open?

A: The pantry is available each Thursday 11:00 – 4:00

  • Q: Can I donate foods to the pantry?

A: Yes. We accept all foods that are unexpired and unopened. Please call ahead if you have a large load of donations from a food drive.

  • Q: How do I make a monetary donation?

A: Click on our Donate tab on this website to be taken to our PayPal link and directions for sending a check.

THRIFT SHOP FAQ

  • Q: Where do proceeds from the thrift shop go?

A: Proceeds fund our food pantry as well as the other programs we provide to qualifying families in the Lakes Region. Please visit the Mission and Programs tab on this website for more information.

  • Q: Do you consign items?

A: No, we are a donation-only based nonprofit.

  • Q: How do I donate to the thrift shop?

A: We are happy to receive your donations. Please visit the Thrift Shop Donation tab on this website for full directions on making your donation.
